Our Creative Writing Program is designed to unlock imagination, strengthen language skills, and help students express their ideas with confidence and creativity. Through engaging activities, storytelling techniques, and literary tools, students learn how to transform simple thoughts into compelling stories, poems, descriptions, and creative pieces.

Course Curriculum

Course Syllabus

Module 1 – Idea Generation

Every great piece of writing begins with an idea. In this module, students learn creative techniques to spark their imagination and generate unique story concepts.

What If?

Students explore imaginative possibilities by asking "What if...?" questions that encourage creative thinking and help develop original story ideas.

Picture Prompt

Using images as inspiration, students create stories, descriptions, and scenarios that bring visual prompts to life through words.

Changing Perspective

Students learn to view situations from different viewpoints, helping them create diverse characters and more engaging narratives.

Module 2 – Giving Shape to Imagination

Ideas become meaningful stories when they are organized effectively. This module teaches students how to structure and develop their thoughts into compelling narratives.

Storyboarding

Students visually plan their stories by arranging key events in sequence, making it easier to organize ideas before writing.

Story Mountain

Students learn the essential structure of storytelling, including introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.

Mind Mapping

Students use creative diagrams to connect ideas, characters, settings, and events, helping them expand and organize their thoughts. 

 

Module 3 – Literary Devices

Students discover how powerful language techniques can make their writing more vivid, expressive, and memorable.

Sensory Anchoring

Students learn to engage readers by describing experiences through the five senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch.

Show, Don't Tell

Students practice revealing emotions, actions, and situations through descriptive details rather than direct statements.

Onomatopoeia

Students explore words that imitate sounds, adding realism and excitement to their writing.

Simile

Students learn to compare two different things using "like" or "as" to create vivid imagery.

Metaphor

Students discover how direct comparisons can add depth and creativity to their descriptions.

Alliteration

Students use repeated beginning sounds in words to create rhythm, emphasis, and memorable phrases.
